A new weather radio station is broadcasting weather information in Spanish to the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. WZ2531 transmits from the Florida Power and Light tower in Hialeah on 162.500 MHz at 1000 watts. |

KGG-68 in Houston, TX has been relocated to the northern suburb of Tomball, and the power has been increased to 1000 watts. The southern part of the Houston metro area continues to be served by KHB-40, located in Hitchcock. |

Some changes are coming for NOAA Weather Radio in western Wisconsin in the next few months.
A second transmitter will be added closer to Eau Claire, WI. Eau Claire is currently served by a transmitter near Menomonie, WI, which the NWS office in Chanhassen, MN identifies as "Eau Claire" on its weather radio page.
The Webster, WI transmitter is also going to be relocated to a site located north of Spooner, WI, so as to improve coverage to the east.

A new station is on the air in Gresham, WI: KC2XBZ, 162.500 MHz, 300 W, NWS Green Bay.
Also, the frequency of the Inverness, MS station has been changed to 162.425 MHz. |

A new station is now broadcasting from Ridgeville, WI (Sparta/Tomah areas) - KE2XKP, 162.525 MHz, 300 W, from the National Weather Service in La Crosse. This is the first weather radio station to use this call sign format.
Another station is expected to sign on by sometime in December from Gresham, WI. This 300-watt station will transmit on 162.500 MHz.
Finally, the Richland, WA station will shut down on 12/1 due to termination of the program funding it, unless a sponsor and/or host comes forward. |

The NOAA Weather Radio broadcast that originates at the National Weather Service office in Spokane, WA is now being transmitted from an additional tower located in Orofino, Idaho. For those listeners in the Orofino area, tune into the broadcast for WZ2535 on 162.50 MHz frequency to determine if this frequency has better reception in your area compared to WXK98 in Lewiston or KXI92 in Grangeville. The Orofino transmitter re-broadcasts the NOAA weather radio program assigned to the Lewiston transmitter. The broadcast includes all watches, warnings and forecasts for counties in Southeast WA and Central Idaho, including Whitman, Garfield and Asotin Counties in Washington, as well as Latah, Nez Perce, Lewis, Idaho and Clearwater Counties in Idaho. |
